BoB enables all staff and students to choose and record any broadcast programme from 60+ TV and radio channels. The recorded programmes are then kept indefinitely (no expiry) and added to a growing media archive (currently at over 1 million programmes), with all content shared by users across all subscribing institutions.
The key features are:
• the addition of all BBC TV and radio content dating from 2007 (800,000+ programmes)
• over 10 foreign language channels, including French, German and Italian
• an extended 30 day recording buffer – more time to record missed programmes
• put programmes and segments of programmes directly into Moodle
• Apple iOS compatibility – watch BoB on handheld devices
• searchable transcripts
• a one-click citation reference, allowing you to cite programmes in your work
For staff:
You get control over what you can record. The recordings can be embedded straight into your moodle modules, and you can even select which segment (or segments) of a programme you want your students to watch. If you miss a programme, you can just request it off the back catalogue.
For students:
You get a recording service for any programme transmitted on the TV and Radio stations, which you can use to suggest material that would be suitable for your groups.

Channels:
BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Five, ITV2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV3, PickTV, Dave, More4, Film 4, Really, 4Music, Yesterday, Drama, Viva, ITV4, E4, 5*, 5USA, Quest, Food Network, Challenge, CBBC, Cbeebies, CITV, BBCNews, BBC Parliament, SkyNews, AlJazeera, BBC1Scotland, BBC1Wales, BBC2 Scotland, BBC ALBA, BBC2 Wales, S4C, Radio1, Radio2, Radio3, Radio4, Radio5Live, Radio6Music, Radio4Extra, RadioAsianNetwork, WorldService, Radio Scotland, Radio Nan Gaidheal, Radio Wales, Radio Cymru, Radio Ulster, The Hits, Magic, Smooth Radio, talksport, Premier, 3Sat, arte, BFMTV, CNN, France24, RaiNEws24, tageschau24, 5, 2DF.
