Life by the Lake with Theodora

If you could go back…what advice would you give to yourself at the start of your first year?

Don’t miss out on opportunities you’re interested in just to go to lectures! You can always catch up by watching the recordings later. But only skip for things you really want to do, it’s all about balance!

What is your best student hack?

Walk to town when the weather’s nice instead of taking the bus! You’d be surprised how much money you save by doing that.

Favourite meal to share with friends?

Definitely the pizza from Cider House, so good!

What café, restaurant, or place in town is your favourite?

I can never resist the desserts at The Real Italian Ice Cream!

What is your hidden gem in Bath?

The Bath Saturday Antique and Flea Market! You’ll find the cutest little things there.

What do you do to unwind?

I love designing aesthetic things on Canva, whether it’s wallpapers or Insta posts. it’s a fun creative break for me.

How do you like to spend time with your friends?

Shopping, dining out, playing Switch, or just hanging out and chatting about random stuff.

What is your best money-saving tip?

Walk up or down the hill instead of taking the First Bus, especially after they hiked the prices!

Who or what picks you up when you are down?

Thinking about the memories I’ve made with friends and family. Remembering their support always lifts my mood.

What’s your worst habit?

Procrastination for sure! I’m getting better though by taking on more responsibilities as it pushes me to get things done faster.

What helps you focus or be productive?

Wearing my noise-cancelling headphones and working in a café or library where everyone else is focused too!

Best place to go for some fresh air?

The trail along River Avon. it’s so peaceful, especially when you spot swans swimming by.

What couldn’t you live without?

My plushies! I need them for comfort and they make my room feel cozy.

What is your favourite song and why?

There are so many songs I love, but "The Riddle" by Five for Fighting is the one I’m currently thinking of!

Best piece of advice you have been given?

You can’t change other people’s views, but you can change your own. I’m still learning how to live by this, but it’s been so valuable!
