We are pleased to share that on Wednesday 26th February Commonwealth, Chevening and Warm Welcome Scholars from the University of Bath joined other international students from the city at an event in the Mayor's parlour at the Guildhall in Bath. The event was a Civic Reception organised by the Royal Commonwealth Society for international students in Bath. Aissata Ba, Olivera Aritonoska and Milica Boreta, all of whom are Chevening Scholars, attended the event and met the Mayor of Bath Cllr. Michelle O'Doherty.

Chevening Scholar, Olivera Aritonoska, said "I am honoured to have attended the Civic Reception. We were in the presence of several hundred year old civic regalia and learned more about how the nature of the mayor's role has changed throughout history. I was delighted to share this memorable experience with my fellow Chevening scholars and other distinguished guests".

Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships and fellowships programme and is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential in almost any field for one year of full-time postgraduate study in the UK.
