Since taking on my role as PVC Education at Bath, one of the things that has brought me the most joy at work, is meeting and connecting with members of our community to talk about the key issues in education.
'Let's Talk Education' is my approach to capturing and sharing those conversations with our community.
In our second studio session, with thanks again to the team for hosting us, I sat down with Helen Stringer, Director of Employability and Student Success, and two outstanding members of our inaugural Bath Insights Internship cohort, to explore this innovative new programme and our cutting-edge approach to employability.
I was hugely impressed by Helena and Matt's reflections on their internship experiences, and the remarkable impact they've achieved within their host teams during such a short period of time - delivering exceptional value to the university whilst positioning them perfectly for their second year studies and future professional experiences.
What's truly inspiring is Helen's passion and enthusiasm for continuing to drive us forward in this area - employability has always been core to our institutional identity and educational success here at Bath, and we're committed to evolving and pioneering new approaches to keep pace with the dynamic landscape our students will graduate into.
Helen is now seeking enthusiastic teams to join the programme by hosting an internship or project in Summer 2025 - if you're interested in being part of this exciting initiative, you can find out more about internships, and complete the expression of interest form by 4th November.
