We are thrilled to be working with partners across the local area to boost the regions' habitat for pollinators.
In collaboration with the Natural History Consortium, Avon Wildlife Trust, the Wild Place Project, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Bristol City Council and the University of the West of England, the University of Bath will be creating a 'demonstration garden' showcasing pollinator-friendly, drought-resistant gardening to inspire members of the local public, our staff and our students with ideas they could use in their own gardens to support pollinators.
The project is being financed by the West of England Combined Authority as a part of the first round of its Community Pollinator Fund.
By working together with organisations across our local community we can share ideas and experiences, while also develop new relationships that will benefit other projects going forward.
We plan to host a number of working days over the summer and into the autumn and would love as many staff and students to get involved as possible. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer in the new pollinator garden on campus then please get in touch to be added to the mailing list.
